Daniel Kehoe FIMC CMC

Daniel Kehoe has spent tens of thousands of hours working with over 8,000 managers, team leaders, supervisors exploring and documenting the important thinking, issues, solutions and behaviours for leading, managing and developing people and driving successful business performance.

This comment from a client captures his approach. "...incisive and punchy—like all of Dan’s work, it cuts to the core of the issues at hand, facilitating progress and improvement...action-oriented—a breath of fresh, invigorating air in a world that often theorizes too much…"

He has also designed and delivered over 300 leadership and management development workshops ranging in duration from two hours to 5-day residential programs covering 100s of issues.

He has synthesised his learning and experiences into the tools instantly available in pdf format on this site - with many more tools to be added. (The 6 Super Thinker ® tools are only available in booklet format by mail order).

He knows that people can be complicated, however, he believes that there are too many theories, concepts and fads that over-complicate human behaviour in their workplaces. People do 4 things. They think. They feel. They say. They do.

He is author of the best-selling book series, You Lead, They’ll Follow. How to inspire, lead and manage people. Really., volumes 1, 2 and 3 published by McGraw Hill and sold world-wide including translations in Chinese and Portuguese. Described by HR Magazine as “…an absolute treasure”. Featured 8 times in Management Today’s monthly National Top 10 Best-selling Books. His column, Growing Business, featured weekly in Business News from 2004 to 2009. His new column, The Workforce,  features weekly in The West Australian.

His new book series, Management In Action covering 6 titles (McGraw-Hill), has been rated 9/10 by the Australian Women and Leadership Forum.

A Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (the highest grading - you are nominated by your peers) and a Certified Management Consultant, Daniel has worked as a management consultant/facilitator since 1979 in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain (UAE).

He has worked with over 700 work groups (ranging in size from 5 to 100) from small, medium and large organisations, from board room and chief executives through all levels of management to frontline operators and service providers. He has worked in most sectors of commerce and industry, private and public sector from all States and Territories of Australia.

The organisations he has worked with include BHP Billiton, Westpac, Hamersley Iron, AMP, NAB, ICI (Orica), Commonwealth Bank, BP, ANZ, Wesfarmers, Shell Oil, Woodside, John Holland Asia, Argyle Diamonds, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Chamberlain - John Deere, Swan Brewery, Burswood Entertainment Complex, Singapore Prisons, Guthrie Group (Malaysia), Quickstep, RAC, Bank of Queensland, Suncorp, Fremantle Ports, Donhad, Underground Services Australia, Bank Danamon (Indonesia), Ministry of Economics (Dubai, UAE), Abu Dhabi University (Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, UAE), Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Water Corporation, Department of Justice, Department of Immigration and Multi Cultural Affairs, Department for Community Development, Mindarie Regional Council, City of Wanneroo, Shire of Murray, Waste Management Association of Australia, Burrna Yurrul Aboriginal Corporation. Daniel's tertiary academic experiences went from pure maths and physics ('exact' sciences) to applied behavioural science ('inexact' science). This gave him a good grounding in concrete thinking and abstract thinking. He knows the value of academic theories and models, however, he prefers to work in the real world of the workplace dealing with what people actually say and do to be successful.

He holds post-graduate qualifications (Graduate Diploma, MSc) in the fields of applied behavioural science and management science (University of Western Sydney and California American University, USA). He is a trained and experienced Open Space Technology facilitator (14 different corporate/business/sporting applications).
